#8Alabama is the better team but they are WAY TOO UPTIGHT for this game. Texas is loose. I can see Alabama playing not to win and Texas going for broke. I wouldn't blame anyone for taking the points. Since the 3-4 defense's are built with their strength from the middle out, I look for Texas to use a game plan similar to the one I posted Auburn would use and work the edges and avoid Cody and McClain. I also think McCoy is gonna hurt them with his legs picking up key first downs which is an aspect Auburn never had. Also, can McElroy play like he did against FL? Texas will most likely give their greatest effort of the season against Ingram. It's still hard to go against this Bama D though. I think 8 out of 10 times, Bammer wins this game but this might be the situation where Texas wins one of the few. Bama is getting all of the respect coming from the big SEC championship over a powerful FL team, having the Heisman trophy winner, and coached by the great Nick Saban. It seems too obvious. I'm not sure why this total keeps going up either with these defenses. I think this could go really similar to the Bama/Auburn game with most of the pressure on Bama. If I had a gun to my head I would take the points and the under because I can see Bammer winning by a fg or even a Texas upset. At this second, it is a no play but I think I will try and wait on an early ingame line to see how the battle in the trenches is going and if there is any funny line movement at Pinny. You could just ask the self proclaimed god of college sports Hoopster. He will most likely post his play after the first half and ridicule your pick. Either way, if I take a side or total before or during the game I will post it in this thread. Oh and Mike, I had FL last year too and am an SEC homer but I don't like the smell of this one.Comment -

I felt Oklahoma should have at least covered last year..........many chances in the first half to score right at the goal line and then Bradford throws int......then in the 4th Quarter down by 3 at Florida 40 Bradford throws that pick where the db of Florida just takes the ball away from the reciever............
That being said.............
Bama rolls tonight............cant figure out all the love for Texas.
Does anyone really believe Saban and Bama come all the way this season to finally beat the hell out of Florida only to lose the National Championship game vs an very ordinary Texas club..............NO WAYComment -

#1324-17 Bama.
Saban may be an arogant fukk but he's no dummie. You can bet he and his staff will have studied in painstaking detail game footage of the Texas vs Nebraska game. While Nebraska has a great defense and the nations best defensive player Alabama can physically play every position as a whole even better. The overall size and speed of Bama's defense will be the nail in the perverbial coffin for the Longhorns.Comment -

Didnt Florida with Demps and company have more speed than Texas has ??????
And was'nt Floridas TE Hernandez much more of an offensive force than any TE Texas has??? I cant remember Texas even using the TE in the passing game that much this year............
Was'nt Tebow just as dangerous as McCoy will be with his legs????Comment -

#15I saw Texas twice this year. Against Oklahoma and Nebraska. What I saw is an offense that couldn't move the ball and a QB running for his life the whole game. Alabama will annihilate the Texas offensive line leading into good field position and easy scores. I also trust Saban to throw everything at Texas defensively and stop their game plan. A coach that outcoached Meir will have an easy time outcoaching Brown.Comment -

It obviously wasn't Florida's best game.
Florida is runfirst spread, Texas is more of a pass first spread. Big difference. Bama's D will not be able to crowd the LOS.
Remember, I never said put the house on Texas. I'm most likely gonna wait til the first series apiece but I will probably take the under before the game.Comment -
