#2I have Plasma 42 Samsung, it's the best but BURN IN sucks. I know you'll be watching sports a lot, like me, and don't want to have a permenant red streak on the right and bottom of screeen. GET THE new shit, LED Samsung, it's worth it.Comment -

#5I went with a Mitsubishi 60" DLP and have never been happier. The price is unbelievable for a TV this size, and the picture quality is phenomenal. Refresh rate is fast, no burn-in problems, multiple HDMI inputs. Only drawback is the size of the unit, and that it can't be hung on a wall. If that works for your application, check it out.Comment -

#7Panasonic is def the way you wanna go on plasmas, there better quality then LCD and the new models dnt suffer from burn in. There more expensive to make which is why alot of companies dont sell em.
As far as TV's go Panasoic is a safe bet, or if you have the budget PioneerForward points to Karayilan, i am unable to receive SBR pointsComment -

#19Have you looked into LED tvs?
They have excellent contrast. Much better than LCDs. They are much less energy consuming than plasmas too.
Also they are very, very slim. Around 2.5 to 3 cms! I've seen some play blu rays and they are phenomenal! Go check them out before you make a decision. I will be ordering one soon I hope!Comment -

#25DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT let them sell you "screen cleaner", "surge protector", "must have HD cable for $200" (you can buy it on ebay for $12. The guys selling TV's are full off shit and this is how they make profits...selling you crap by saying "you need it", " this is the best", "it won't work right without it".
