I got a colonoscopy 3 weeks ago.

I have a family history of esophogeal cancer so I scheduled an upper endoscopy. While I was there I figured, what the hell, I'll already be under sedation and I'm approaching that age anyway (I'm 37). The doctor agreed based on some family history.

Dude, the sedation was the coolest thing I've ever experienced. You wake up and you don't feel a thing.

The worst part about the colonoscopy was easily the preparation. Had to drink all this laxative stuff the day before and it was annoying.

Several years ago they changed the procedure to use sedation. You go in they drug you - you wake up your done. The prep does suck

I had a cystoscopy some years back. I think you are probably correct to favor the colonoscopy.
