How often do you take -1.5 and lose by a hook?

Happened to me in the Cincy/Pitt NCAAF game earlier this year. I can't recall ever being on the winning +1.5 side, probably because I usually take the ML. I will go ML on the fav from now on if I can't buy the 1/2 point. I learned my lesson.
