what if they think they can.. then what?? alot think they can, and think they are just unlucky and will keep trying. it's hard for a gambler to admit he can't.. i know lots of gamblers who have been gambling for 30 yrs and have never had a winning year and they keep thinking they will win and can beat the -110. They just won't give up.
Every gambler here refuses to believe they can't hit 53%.. if they knew for certain they can't, they'd quit giving their money away and go get a full time job.

If you're only using books with -110 lines, then you're right--you shouldn't be gambling.

My record is based on -110 lines.
Always deduct 1.10 on losses.

why would i try to beat -110 when i dont have too richie? richie, you should have taken some of your winnings from that shit book you shill for and deposit into a few reduced juice books. you dont bet too big and wont have to worry about your limits being cut anywhere. its 2010 bud. if you are playing at -110 books only, you really cant be taken as a serious gambler. you might gamble all day and call it your job, but you cant be taken seriously. im just sayin

durito, why you taking shots at the guy?? so what if he lives there.. durito, don't you live in some 3rd world country in the bushes somewhere?? i live in a 2 bedroom apt in a highrise, and i don't get killed each year in gambling..
where you live has nothing to do with you how successful you are gambling. maybe some guys want to remain low key and not be bothered.. i know a bunch of guys that live in 2 million $ mansions and owe everyone $$ and are up to the neck in gambling debts. and i also know a few who don't work and do well gambling each year and live in a basement apt..
what you drive and where you live has nothing do with this. NADA.. some like to remain very low key and not flash.. if a successful gambler lived in a 2 mill house and drove a VIPER, people would start to talk and wonder.. you'll draw attention to yourself and you don't want that.. always remain low key..never flash.
there's some good advice for everyone.

Gambling isnt the only illegal activity I participate in. Attention is the last thing I need.

part of profit potential is getting the most out of your bets.
even if you're going to be 53% paying less juice will increase your profits, no?
i can make money trading stocks at $20 commissions too but why would i pay that when i can pay $5 and save $10,000/year?
getting bonuses and finding cheap lines is probably more important to a long-term bankroll than handicapping. i know plenty of small potatoes-guys that make thousands of dollars/year from bonus whoring and almost nobody that makes that much consistently handicapping.

(beautiful city, amazing food, dirt cheap prices, friendly people, beautiful women) if memory serves, that pic is of the residential areas of el poblado (you have to pay a sig premium to live in that area but still much cheaper than u.s prices, as long as you rent)

At what point do you know you can beat the -110? That is the question. How long do you have to think you are the man to actually realize that you are the man that can beat the juice?
And then you run into the the problems of knowing you can beat the juice, so you get a big head and start betting too many games, games that you shouldn't be betting on. Then you start losing money. But you still think/know you can beat it, and you don't make adjustments, and you end becoming homeless in costa rica with 2 black kids. It's not good ppl; just don't even try and be a pro. bet for fun: but make sure that fun is backed with intelligent decisions.
