I hate how much NFL playoff positions are determined by tie-breakers

It's ridiculous how much is determined by tie breakers. How can you say 1 9-7 deserves to be in and another 9-7 team is out? No other sport relies so heavily on this crap, it's almost always just based on overall record.

This is why there should be an 18 game schedule, at least there would be fewer tied teams if more games are played.

I'm not sure two extra games would resolve much. You'd need more than that to make a real difference. Look at baseball. They play 162 and how many 1-game play-ins have we seen recently?
