What is your worst/Best win ever??

Worst: I know there was a game a few years back when the punter took a safety with seconds left in the game. I think it was the packers. I swore I would never bet again.

Best: I was on the winning side of the Kordel Stuart/Rashaan Salaam pass play. I think it was in '95. Now that I think of it, I was on the winning side of this years Colorado/Nebraska game when the Colorado QB threw it up at the end of the game for a TD.

I remember I had a big bet and I think I took my team at -5 1/2, they are up 8 points and have the ball with like 5 seconds left, I am thinking they will just run the clock out, no the other team commits a foul.

First free throw -- no good
Second free throw -- no good.

The other team rebounds, makes one pass to midcourt where the guy heaves the ball up from mid court and nails the shot for 3 points at the buzzer.

worse bet this year betting 3k on Western Ky ml vs Ind St. they were down 13 or so at half and came back to tie it on a last second 3. Oh, but wait. Some mental midget named Evans on their team fouled one of Ind St players with 0.3 seconds left. The rest is history.

I loaded up on the Jets one Monday Night about 10 years ago. Pissed off and drunk, they were down 30-7 in the 3rd when I decided to go to sleep. I thought my year was over. I wake up around 1 in the morning to piss just in time to see them kick a fg through the uprights to win the game. Victory! I'm elated and go out to close down the bar.

I remember making a 5K middle a few years back on a missed extra point right at the end. It was stunning. I couldn't believe what I saw for a long time. Then I just let out a whoop.

I can't even remember the details. I think John Carney was the kicker.

I think my biggest (and therefore best) straight win is still when Charlize Theron won Best Actress for Monster. I just loaded the hell up on it when the lines came out and I was right.

Seriously, with the 1000's of bets over the years, the good and bad just run together. If pressed, my best and most memorable are probably lower wagers that at one point I just wrote off as losses....

I do remember one of the worst was a punter fielding a snap with about 10 seconds left in a game I was covering by 1 and ran backwards 40 yards for a safety. Not a ton on that game, only remember it because I was like 9-0 that day in college football up until then...

My best I remember was the Braves trailing the entire game against the Cubs when I had bet Braves -250 ML at like $5000 to win $2000.

Braves are down 5-0 or something in the 8th, they get 2 in the 8th, now its 5-2 bottom 9, 2 outs and noone on. They get a couple singles to bring the tying run up and I am still pissed. I am thinking these assholes sucked all game long, now they are going to play and make it close and probably lose 5-4. I really just wanted it over.

Next guy singles, its 5-3 with 2 on and 2 out, Fred McGriff now at the plate and it enters my mind, damn if he was to homer right here, just then he hit the ball so hard there was no doubt, I am jumping all over my house like an insane idiot.

My worst outnumbers my best...one bad beat I remember is about two springs ago, I had hit the book casino for a nice chunk and decided to lay one of my biggest bets on houston/utah Under...(musta been 2nd half) With less than a minute left, my there is still 6.5 points that need to be scored for me not to hit this under. Well, Korver hits a 3, there was a foul on Mcgrady then Okur hits another 3! So now there is 37 seconds left and utah is down 1. McGrady misses the shot, jazz have chance to win but the shot is blocked!!! Fukking Happy!

But wait a minute, Luis Scola gets the rebound and is fouled with .2 seconds left. He misses the first! Announcers saying he just has to miss, players smiling etc knowing he has to miss just to end the game. Wouldnt you know that dickhed hits the FT and costs me the under by .5 a point! Unreal.

Lets see had Indiana against Iowa this year when they were up by HUGE and ended up losing even with getting 18 points. Had Clemson vs illinois who were up 22 to lose by 2. Terrible
