I'm wondering if anyone has any real stats on http://www.bettingresource.com. I've read some people talk about how good they are and their stats online look good, but then I found and it made me skeptical. I've read on here numerous places that you shouldn't every pay for picks because if they lose you don't just lose your money, but also what you paid for the pick, and I'm trying to pick on my own (NCAAB O/U picks) and I'm not doing too well. I've also read around here that one should also use 'good resources' to make picks and I'm wondering what said resources would be. So, I guess what I'm wondering is if anyone has used BettingResource besides the couple of touts I've seen on these boards, or if anyone is able to share some tips on how to research games for myself.

How much time (per week) are you able to commit to doing you own handicapping?
With one or two notable exceptions (e.g. RAS), all touts are scams.

I don't have endless time, but I've got probably about 10 hours a week that I can devote to it.

As has been mentioned, the vast majority of picks services are poor at best, some are outright frauds.

Even the very best subscription service has a fundamental problem in that if they are good, everyone knows that they are good, including the books. As such, when their plays are released the line moves (often wildly) - this is certainly the case with RAS.

College Basketball isn´t my thing, but it takes a lot of time to properly develop and test a handicapping model for any sport.
Sorry I can´t be more helpful, but learning to ´cap games for yourself is the way to go, even though it is daunting.

I have been using bettingresource since middle of November and I have not seen any wrong doing by them so far. They post the results win or lose. If you do your research on this site you will notice that there are many people trying to resell betting resource picks or even using their names to sell the picks. The thread from bettingadvice forum that is mentioned here was indeed a work of some one else because I emailed bettingresource with concerns when I learned about the thread but br just emailed me saying that bettingadvice forum admin has removed that thread after concluding that it was an imposer.

I have been using bettingresource only for about 2 months now and so far I only have good things to say about them. They have been very professional. They only send one email per day with picks (no sales emails or other craps that most scamdicapers try to shove on your face) and they always answer your emails promptly.
