If you aren't injured you should play. You shouldn't need rest, you shouldn't need time off. You have a bye week. Congratz you made the playoffs, your also getting paid extra game checks.

This whole week 17 is meaningless bullshit is on my last nerve, now its week 16 too in some games. Why as a fan do I watch to see this shit...you know what I didn't, and the ratings on these blowout games aren't there.

Bottom line is we pay to see a product, and right now weeks 15, 16 and 17 are very diminished.

If you aren't on the injury report and your coach pulls you from the game you should be investigated.

You can say the players need this they need that, there NFL football players, they sign up for 17 weeks a year at the very least. Back in the old days they didn't cry they didn't quit. They played, and that was football. Since when did football players need additional time off... besides I think most teams get out of sync trying to "protect players" in this situation.

Its all about winning..... the guys in POWER, are trying to WIN, so they are doing what they think is beneficial........ I might not agree with it

but when I'm an NFL head coach, I guess I can do somthing about it

You sound like you're blaming the players. It's the coaches and upper management's fault.

its all bullshit but the fact is they could play them but tell them not to play hard or fake injuries or just lose on purpose with starters in its a joke because the league has no integrity but it has been like that for ever and will remain as such

Fans need to stand up the fact other teams seasons are made or ended by this BS is bad enough, its even worse that fans who want to be able to say they saw their team win a game in person in their "perfect season" or have had the potential to never will get that joy..... that is a memory no fan would ever forget I gloat all the time that I went and saw my steelers play live last year the year we won the superbowl will never forget that game and it was just a regular season game against the bum ass redskins. The league needs to spend less time trying to ban US states from having gambling and how to sell scratch offs and more time finding out how to make their product as good as possible to potential viewers.

I guess my point is week 15-17 shouldn't be decided by are we playing our starters or not...

                That is unacceptable.

They should have made Indy play the Rams week 17. Rams are trying to lose, Indy is basically doing the same. Just let them play each other in their little toilet bowl and let the real teams play each other. 49ers @ Bills might have been an interesting game.

totally agree, not only is integrity an issue, but what about the people who pay to get into these games, the teams think the money just flies out of the air, and if you don't fill the stadiums then they threaten to move or want taxpayer handouts, funny thing is most of these owners call themselves conservatives but have no problem putting their hands out when they need money

All so the taxpayers (us) can build them a new stadium.
