    NFL "LOCK" - official definition
An NFL "lock" is when the "lock" selection leads early, never trails in the game, scores often, covers early and allows zero points!

This should be the standard definition of a "lock".

PS: A great example of a "LOCK" was the Bengals vs Jets Jan 3, 2010.

no such thing as a lock. by NYJ winning 37-0, all it is is that the game landed on heads after heads was called. that's it..

it landed on the right side of the coin. no one predicted 37-0.. no one knew for sure CIN would not play the game, or everyone woudl have bet 25k on it..

Nicky pal, you're missing the point, I'm talking about when guys use the word lock, too often its just a game they like.

What I'm saying is when someone says a game is a lock it should end 37-0 for the team they liked.

Had this game ended 24-14 for the Jets it shouldn't be considered a lock, it was too close to the -9.5.

                        Nebraska was definitely a lock.
