Did you call and ask for the VIP department?

Better to email your id. Did they give you this email address? ivd2@sbgglobal.com
Using that number and on the phone with them now. Hopefully this can be straightened out.

Edit: They have no record of my request for a withdrawal and have no record of the e mails I've sent to them regarding this withdrawal. They are now processing it (apparently) and phoned me back complete with a confirmation number (I never received a confirmation number previously). Hopefully this is the end of this episode.

Did you make your first withdrawel request by phone or online? The online withdrawel request DOES NOT WORK. I don't know why they don't take it off of there.

Who did you talk to? I know several people there. What kind of withdrawel did you ask for? **? If you did a ** or **, you will need to call back tomorrow or Monday to get the sender information. You can email me directly if you have any more problems ibeecurious@yahoo.com.

        good luck.
they jerked me around too on withdrawals until i got sbr to help.

pretty ridiculous that some sportsbooks still ask for scans of id. and then the old line was "that fax wasn't clear enough we are going to need an email scan".
and then "that email scan wasn't good enough, you need to actually scan the license not the copy".

all while weeks were going by of course.

Did this happen before or after SBG bought Bet Royal out? It also makes a difference which phone number you call in terms of who you get to talk to and how competent they are. I only use the SBG phone number. I will say that the online withdrawal does not work and they should remove it. They also don't do a very good job of explaining the policy. However, the policy is explained on the Bet Royal home page, I just never looked at that page because I always log in immediately, and once you log in you no longer have access to the policy page. I know that is stupid. But, it was my fault for not reading the policy on the home page.

I don't think Bet Royal was intentionally jerking anyone around. The policy is pretty simple. The online betting industry is plagued with people disputing their credit card charges so they can weasel out of bets they lost. Also, identity theft is a big issue. To avoid problems like this most books require you to fill out a form acknowledging that the credit card charges are valid and you agree to them and that you won't dispute them, and they ask for a copy of your ID and a copy of the credit card, in order to make sure that it really is you running up these charges. That way a bettor can't weasel out of their losing bets by claiming someone else used their credit card. Also, it keeps people from using stolen credit card numbers.

If they can't read the ID or the credit card scan, they can't read it. That happened to me, and i agreed with them. Also, I found that sending the scan as an attachment to an email was much faster than a fax. I assume that they have an automated system for dealing with inbound email. If I was them I would stop offering the fax option.

And it doesn't take "weeks" to comply with the rules. The first time I had to do this it took one week, partly because I was not familiar with the policy and wasted two days arguing about it. The last time I had to do this it took two extra days.

Since Bet Royal got bought out by SBG they have been nothing but nice to me, and have always paid me next day on payout requests. Except for two occasions when I needed to comply with the credit card acknowledgement rule which took 5 extra days in one case and 2 extra days in another case.

The 1K is gone from my account and if it shows up in my moneybookers account (it hasn't yet) then all is fine. If it doesn't show up bill you will get a pm for sure. This has been going on for 2 1/2 weeks now. Marco answered one e mail that was sent to him.

I do appreciate the offer of help, and I may take you up on it later if they fail this time.

From my experience with Bet Royal, the payout is usually processed 24 hours after it is deducted from your account. I've never got a transfer to moneybookers, so I don't know about that. but, I have never had a payout deducted and it didn't get processed promptly.

Thanks for the input curious, it's been helpful. I doubt whether it will hit during the weekend (just my feeling). But it should be there by Monday for sure.

It definitely won't hit during the weekend. I'd say forget about it until Tuesday evening.

Thanks for your offer Bill but the money has shown up in my moneybookers account. So I am good for now. Hopefully any other withdrawals go smoother.
