Quit feeling sorry for yourself and get off your ass and make some money. Unless your a parapelegic there's no excuse for you to be broke. Depending on where you live and the weather, get a lawn mower or a snow blower, a rake, some clippers, etc. Select a nice neighborhood in town. Knock on some doors and tell them that you do lawn service/care. Tell them you charge $30 to cut the front and back (unless it's outrageously big). If the grass is already cut tell them you can pull up weeds or pick up leaves, add mulch, survey the property and think of what can be improved. Maybe trim some trees. Go in with a price. If they say $30 is too much then ask them what do they think is fair. Bottom line is to charge a minimum based on how long it's going to take you. Preferably $30 per half hour. Do the work, have them inspect it, ask them if their happy and tell them you will be back in 2 weeks. Now get 10 other people in that neighborhood. You now will earn $300 for a total of 5 hours of work. Do that on Saturday. On Sunday choose another neighborhood. Knock out $600 in your first week and make $6000 in 10 weeks and you've paid your debt in 2.5 months.
Here's the real way you start really making money. Once you've established 3 or 4 neighborhoods, you now employ the efforts of others. Go to the local Home Depot or Lowes early Saturday morning. Most of them will have several people lined up looking for work. You tell the person you will pay them $20 an hour (note that your making $30 every half hour or $60/hr). You have them do one neighborhood where you make $300 normally. You now pay them $100 and you keep the $200. If the person does good work you keep them for the next day. You supervise, observe, etc., You pick up another person and do the same thing. The key is to establish the neighborhood upfront, then manage the people who will take over the neighborhood while you monitor their progress and look for new neighborhoods. Pretty soon you will have 10-15 guys working for you in 20-30 different neighborhoods and you supervise and instruct the workers. Pretty soon you have a crew that can knock out whole neighborhoods in a few hours.
I started working yards at 9 and when I was 12 years I had groups of folks working for me. I've never borrowed money or had to ask anyone for money including parents since that time.
1st rule of money... Pay yourself first. Which means to always put money aside for your savings, future before you do anything else. Before you pay your mortgage, car note, phone bill, you must pay yourself first. Else you will be relying on someone else to take care of you one day.
2nd rule of money - If it doesn't make you money stop doing it. If your just pissing money away gambling then your a fool. If your not good at gambling then quit doing it. If your sitting on your lazy ass all day long and it doesn't make you money stop doing it. If your drunk, high, lazy and not making money stop doing it. Do things that make money or prepare you to make money or educate you to make money, etc.
3rd rule... Don't spend money where you haven't made it. Stop using credit or buying a car where you have to make payments every month. Pay cash for everything. Also stop loaning broke ass friends money unless they loaned you money in the past or have something of value to exchange. It's total lunacy to think you can play with house money. Your making bets with one bookie hoping to get paid by broke friends. That's stupid. If they didn't pay you what they owed then you didn't have it to spend.
4th rule... Be true to yourself. Do what you say your going to do. You've probably already made promises to yourself. You probably set a loss limit or a goal. But you probably broke that promise and said "just one more time". I'll catch up, I don't have a problem, etc... Quit lying to yourself and just do what you know you should do. If your losing your ass gambling, then stop doing it. Just stop cold turkey. You can always come back next season. I set a limit on my losses for every sport prior to the season. Last year I reached that limit in the NFL by week 5. I didn't bet another NFL game for that season. Don't ever go back in your pocket. When it's done, it's done. Next... Move on.
Your young, you'll get better. Mistakes make you better as long as you learn from them. $7k is chump change. Don't feel desperate, like it's all the money in the world because it's not. You'll be back in the game in no time but you have to have a plan and stick by the rules.

This place can be depressing.
Kids broke. They have little to no work ethic, they obvioulsy think they can make some cash through sports gambling---but few--very very few actually manage to do it.
I burned through my bankroll on December 28th. I am done for the year. I treat my football gambling money the same way I treat my golf club membership. It is fun, it costs x number of dollars, and I don't expect to get much in return except tons of entertainment.
These young kids---ignore tons of advice----go "all-in", have little money management skills, and then piss and whine about losing or beign owed money.

Looks Sam you are 5 grand in the hole, what's the point of gambling? it obvious you are not making any money from it. Maybe you need to realise you are not very good at capping games.
You need to just tail lakerboy in his nba and you will get out of debth

errrrr, OK it was the curse.
Nonetheless Sammy has been belligerent to the point of stupidity. This would make him an ideal candidate for the curse.

obviously sammy did not stop gambling I mean he already listed off in this thread that he needed Tech and the Mavs. With those both cashing you know he is gonna have something on some NFL game today. You never really stop gambling untill you have $0 left. Even when your down to your last $200, you send $100 over to some book just to try and knock out 2 $50 parlays and get back in the game. When you get into such a grind owing money sometimes the only way out is to hope to make a hit. I've been in this situation many times. If I were you I wouldn't even pay the debts you owe. No one is gonna come after you or do anything, not in this day and age. You can just run to the cops. Sammy, take the Cowboys today -3, $2200 to win $2000 and you will be good.

Sammy,
If you listening to anythony and playing the boizzzz you can do better than -3 -110..... betjan has -3+100 matchy has -3 +106, phoenix has -3 +105 right now....... don't get further barreled in playing -110 lines.......

Four7, I'm assuming sammy is just left to betting with his bookie. I doubt he has money in any of those books. If its down to his bookie most likely hes only getting -110 lines.

Nicky, relax with reiterating for the 17th time in this thread that, "you warned him, he disrespected you, and thats its been bad ever since you started the curse." We get the point. You have powers no other poster can come close to having. With all that being said you never once make a pick on any thread, yet play this curse nonsense shit on someone that does actually try and provide winners. Nicky make some picks already. Your like a Monday morning quarterback going after people sometimes.

For some reason I dont see this having any truth in it (and I believe I speak for myself).
I mean lets look at it ... he wins his plays with "friends ... but loses to bookies. Why couldn't this be the other way around, if it was, then he would have $2500 in his pocket and calling out Nicky all sort of names.
Im not buying on it (no disrespect Sammy) ... but if I would owe ppl cash ... specially in the amount you speak .. the last place I would come to would be SBR. I would be looking for outs to get cash ASAP and payout debts ... I definately would not come to SBR and let out my personal issue for all to know (unless you wanted the attention).
Does the curse really have its effect? Well, at least the last 3 guys that got the curse ... went down with it.
