I heard a guy is making 8 grand a week with his 88 cent Ap download site that features a variety of fart noises.All the fart sounds you want for 88 cents.The people that are downloading this stuff wasting their money must be the ones keeping a thing called Lady Gaga in business.What the hell is the attraction to a thing called Lady Gaga where in a sucky economy she can be some kind of celebrity?What the hell does she even do?She looks like some porn star in disguise wearing opposite color wigs.I don't blame her for cashing in on her no talent to offer appeal.So who do you blame for a society of brainstems for keeping her in business?It's got to be the public school system and Obama's kind of people who have been running the show forever dumbing everyone down.

She's quite obviously heavily influenced by Manson. At least it's obvious to me. Her costumes, theatrics, poses.... so similar in style. The music is not that similar except for a some industrial undertones. She's got a nice voice, not sure if it's quite Annie Lennox, but it's unique in it's own right. Lennox had a distinct sound as well, but I hear some of her influence in Lady Gaga....but again that could just be me.

David Bowie? Alice Cooper? Trent Reznor? Manson is the master of borrowing. No slight to him. Just call it as I see it. His first breakout single was a cover song. That's never a good sign of originality.

He was obviously influenced by shock rockers of the past (I would say Cooper and Bowie definitely) but he added some very notable attributes of his own. It's not like he was a complete ripoff. You have to give him credit for taking things to another level, if you are into the kind of shit he did....which I was from a visual perspective. I never really cared one way or the other about his music, but his theatrical approach was pretty brilliant, imo.

Ok I feel ya. From a visual perspective he did move boundaries. No doubt. Musically though I was left unimpressed. Maybe more so because I grew up in the same city as him and I witnessed the royal fvcking he gave his original bandmates (The Spooky Kids).
