Setting their odds that is.
I know what they will take into consideration (form, H2Hs, injuries, home/away, etc) but what I really dont know is how they translate such intangible things into odds.
Obviously, with home/away and the like this can probably be just statistically based but things like form, etc?
When first starting out I usued to image all the linemakers at, say, William Hill's would sit round and have a coffee whilst discussing Man Unites's chances at Spurs.
I kind of know they dont have time for this and for lower league stuff especially.
So, can anyone tell me how they specifically translate say a big player returning from injury or the fact they have won 3 out of their last 4 or whatever into a value?
