Lots of good promotions to think back to over the years.

With the Steelers and Dolphins playing this week, it makes me think back to Mansion's free $1000 bet on the Steelers a few seasons ago when that matchup opened the season. That gets my vote as the best one.

I don't think I ever had one more profitable that BetOT's 400% freeplay bonuses. It ran for a month around last January. You would make a deposit - and then on your next deposit you would get a 400% freeplay of your first deposit. And you could keep re-upping the whole month. Multiple times every day if you could "lose" that fast.

At the start - even more insane - I even had reduced juice. That did change after awhile though.

It was the kind of thing you would normally look at and say, "There is no way that can work. They will get murdered on this and go out of business." Under normal circumstances I simply wouldn't have played there for fear of the obvious danger - except they were connected to Bet Phoenix and Phoenix had basically declared their support.

That was the first thing I thought of (but didn't really think of it as a promotion). That one year with the baseball lines. They would post the offers and you would just sit and arb one after another until you were all in at every book you had.

Sometimes you would see 10 cent arbs and pass because you knew something better would come along.

I remember that one from Skybook, patswin. Definitely deserves an honorable mention with the Mansion one.

You got to pick your spots. My strategy was picking 5 games every weekend and doing round robins of 2. I would only bet the minimum amount allowed on each round robin play. It took a while but they had a 60 day minimum period before you can withdraw after deposit and application of 100% bonus. Nothing out of line with their lines. I was just too good on knowing which games have a higher tendency for a draw. It took years and years of following international soccer and small leagues before you perfect my strategy. You don't cap soccer like US sports because most teams in small leagues are semi-pros and the operating budgets are very small compared to major teams. This is essentially like betting on A teams in minor league baseball.
