Good customer service doesn't seem to mean anything like it used to. I went to Kroger the other day, to come across a cashier on his blackberry sending messages. When he got to me he says, "Hey homey!". Now I live in a more affluent suburb in the Nashville area. The term "Homey" definitely does not belong there. On top of that, I never saw someone scan groceries so slow in all my life. I hate to see what the guy who hired this kid looks like.

It's funny, actually; I totally agree that when others are late while you are on time, it is annoying as fukk and you want to beat the crap out of them..... BUT.... I know that I am often late. So it's funny that I still have that reaction when I'm the one who's on time.

i love being taking my time when i have to meet someone at a locale. but i am never more than 15 minutes late ever. the only reason i come late is because i expect them to be late.

and even if they are there on time, they are never angry when i finally show. they are just glad they have to stop waiting. same goes for me when someone i'm meeting is late. i stand there seething with rage, but when i see them walking towards me in the distance, i'm just so happy they finally came.

Here is what I do Amby. If I want to eat at 8pm I make reservations at 7pm. Works all the time.

Happened to us last night ... we got to the restaurant on time - waited 10 mins after the agreed meeting time - and my wife and I then went ahead and ordered and started eating .... **** 'em - if they can't get their shit together - I sure as hell ain't waiting around for them.

I don't let it bother me ... but at the same time ... I don't let their bad manners disrupt my own plans.

Chronic lateness is another annoying, pathetic, attention-seeking behavior. If I want to see those, I will just go to a posting forum.
