Also, one thing I really don't like about the contest format is not being able to see what picks other people are on. That's one the reasons for the BB thread....so you can tail or fade guys. If you'd played every one of Shorty's or BTJ's picks over the past year you'd be up 30 units. If you'd faded some posters every pick there for the past year you'd be up even more.

Is there any way to make the picks not hidden until gametime?

I was actually up over 40 units Jello this past year, because I was down 10 units entering last year.

Sorry for the slight Jerky. I gotta tell you though, I'm all about some t-bone right now. Look at the fukkin record. 64% over almost 100 plays only sides and totals. I plan on tailing his pick every day from now until it proves not profitable.

Ill play in this as well as still playing in the original best bets thread. I hope this one sticks to the rules set out today, and the rule maker doesnt cave in to people to change the rules 6 months from now.

Good contest.

Would you consider lowering the minimum number of bets to 120 or something similar? This gives a platform for guys that might want to be very selective about the games they play (2 or 3 a week) and also allows entries that are 'late to the party' to be competitive.

LOL, you made it 17 minutes and have already changed the rules from 200 picks to 150. Thats the problem with this contest, pressure from posters will cause the rules to be changed through out the year. 200 picks was plenty fair out of 365 days,JMO.

Ya...but this doesn't prevent guys from making their 200-365 picks...they can still do that. This just allows for players that only want to pick 3 games a week or so. It might be interesting to find out if more selective picking gives better results. (If someone is posting 3 picks a week with good results (60% and up), I'd be paying attention to what they were doing.)

As an example...T-Bone in the other best bet thread has only 90'ish picks in the book by now...he's almost in the lead.
