Had the same goal, 5,000 by year-end or sooner. I got to around 450 at one point, then two members stiffed me. Then I lost my head and took a big loan to place an NBA bet (fvck the Suns) - and you know the drill. Now I'm about 400 under the ground. And just discovered another member stiffed me =/.

There's a minimum amount you have to pick so you can play all those games you don't have the balls to wager all your book points on. I entered a couple contests when I first started & got 600 points very quickly.
