the fact that this guy didn't win the heisman is an utter joke. it's because he's a white RB on stanford. this guy is a flat out beast. he has a shot at beating oklahoma by himself. the cardinal cant even pass the ball and everyone knows gehart is getting it, and the olk D which is 1 of the best in the nation run defense (if not the best) still cant stop him. unreal.

what game are you watching? he's getting nearly 3 yards every carry. they are crowing the line and they still cant stop him.

He could be a good short yardage back in the NFL, but certainly not the best, not fast enough

nice run there. almost really hurt his team with the fumble..... i'm becoming more impressed with him... but you also have to give his line alot of the credit. I like the play calling mix in this game for stanford too

if gerhart was black you'd all be sucking his nuts.

this guy is a machine and is only finished 2nd in the heisman for the obvious reason.

and he'll be a good nfl RB. these days in the NFL you dont have be a breakway player like chris johnson because most teams rotate 2 RB's.

the line is good but the guy does it mainly himself, he's always hit near the line and he never goes down. he is butchering the okl run defense with virtually no passing game.

I am a huge Stanford fan and I want to see him dominate, as a college player he can knock people over and is a beast. I'd love to see him do the same in the NFL, but don't see it happening.

If I had a 3rd-10 running play, give me Ingram. If I have a 3rd-3 running play, give me Gerhart. The kid is good for 40 carries a game. He will be a great addition to any NFL team that has a very good quick RB but needs a power runner. He may be the type of guy to carry the ball 9 times for 30 yrds and 4 TD's in an NFL game. Some team that has a good quick RB is going to get a great "Mr. Inside, Mr. Outside combination."

i see a lot more potential in him vs. alstott. he's better at every facet of the game. ok obviously the guy isn't going to run for 1800 yds or average 5.5 yds a carry but he's goin to be a great nfl RB. there are a lot of rb's without 4.3 speed in the nfl.

He should have won the Heisman. He won RB of the Year award and then a RB beat him in the Heisman. He had more yards and TDs than Ingram. Some more reasons to boot, he is also on the baseball team and he goes to Stanford. Ingram goes to a shitty academic school. Not saying that should be included, just saying he garners more respect in my mind.

Stanford should be good enough to get into another bowl next season. The Rose Bowl or a BCS game? That is another question. Losing Gerhart, and a lot of offensive linemen, plus 6 on defense is going to hurt. Playing in a conference that is so close, (5 teams at 8-4 at the end of the season) is very tough. The Pac 10 is going to have some very good QB's next year. Luck, Masoli, Barkley, and Locker all return. This kid Mansion will give Riley all he can handle to keep his starting job at Cal. Prince at UCLA also returns and will be a lot better if he can stay in one piece. The Pac 10 will be exciting, if nothing else next season.
