bookmaker wires seem better than checks

I requested a wire on friday june 29, and it is in my bank today monday july 2.

This is fast.

Checks seem to take a much longer time, and then I have to take them to the bank and wait for them to clear, so wires seem better than checks.

Does you bank take off a processing fee for bank wires? and if so does bookmaker reimburse you these fees?

My bank does not charge any fee to accept a wire. From what I understand, a lot of banks do.
