Biggest night of the year for the Chinese restaurants. The one a few blocks away from me takes lots of advance orders. Orders placed tonight will easily take 2 hours.

I'll be passing on it and trying to cook this year. Got plans for a good workout at the gym tonight and then making some steaks.

Yeah - I am in the North End as I speak right now, BeantownJim! There's a good place here near the water called Billy Tze's my office orders from sometimes.

Have not been through Brookline in a long time, but it's good to know a few stops.

Happy New Year, BeantownJim! Hope it's a great year with the reduced vig bets for you!

Those smaller joints can be the best ones to order from. Ask them who they like for all the bowl games and let's fade.

You'd think they would all do that, pavy! My place pretty much just has extra people answering the phone or making deliveries. Still takes 2 hours though even if you pick it up there.

There is always something about it, Nicky. Especially opening up that fortune cookie to get an idea of how the new year will go for you.

It depends where you live at. Where I live there are so many options to order food it's never a long wait at any place. Now if you live at a town where there are only 3 restaurants and 1 of them is chinese I can see why you have to wait 2 hrs.

here is the freaky part. in Montreal, i think i have seen only 2 mexican restaurants in my career here. and mtl has 4 million people.. we don't even have taco bell if i am not mistaken. if we do, i have never seen em.

and there ain't 1 mexican restaurant in my area and within 7 miles of me.. mexican food not popular at all in this city.. but poutines are..

                                  Nicky , I used "restaurant" loosely. We have Robertos #5 , 6 , 7 & 8 alongside Humbertos #12 , 13 , 14 & 15. With a few decent sit-down restaurants included.

20 minutes if you phone ahead and pick it up..... 1.5 hours if they deliver. Last year it was KFC on new years eve and even then it was a 20 minute wait cuz they ran out of chicken. Tonight is left over turkey with carrots and squash.....
