I admire your passion onner and I guess I shouldn't judge, but...Why would you pay so much money for a meaningless college basketball game in the middle of the season? A regular season college game right now means squadoosh. Why not just gamble on it from home instead?

lol...Louisville/Kentucky is not meaningless around here

            Pitino vs. Calipari round 1

Pitino returns to Kentucky after extortion/abortion gate. Kentucky 14-0 and in the top 5 for the first time in about 4-5 years, etc.

All we have here is Kentucky basketball....it's what people spend their money on. You wouldn't understand unless you lived here. Just watch the game and you might begin to understand.

Depends where at in the building. Lower level was going anywhere from $500 to $2000 a piece

Upper level from about $250-$400 a piece

they choose to play for Coach Cal, not Kentucky. They were going to Memphis before Cal came to Kentucky. High profile NBA type players go play in a system that will make them better for the next level.

The guys who don't have a chance of making the NBA might pick a school based on tradition and stuff though, but the NBA kids don't.

I've visited Rupp arena once while in high school.
We stopped on the way back from a bball camp at the Univ. of Cincy and took a tour of the arena.
place is legendary and awe inspiring.

I noticed you avoided the part about adolph rupp I just wanted to get your thoughts on that no big deal. I know why kids go for Cals system im just saying with the things Rupp said how can you play in a building with his name. Makes no sense to me but oh well.

Is that the pro and cons thing of adolph rupp and how the media twisted things...if so i've read them. I'll go back and reread it hold on. This is actually one of the first things that pops up when you google adolph rupp who at that time names their kid adolph anyways.

Basically 25 years after the 1966 game a guy who wasn't alive at the time said Rupp was a racist and it took off from there.

why would the media do that to Rupp and kentucky basketball...am i reading that right it was sports illustrated that wrote the article. Thanks onner he couldnt have been that racist if he did indeed help will robinson. Will Robinson was very important in the history of my family.

Rupp also coached blacks in the 1920's in high school and selected the first black to ever play for US Olympic team
