Paul "Bear" Bryant is a coach of Legend. As is, of course, Vince Lombardi.

Both of these guys were tough on their players, in regards to Bear thats like saying fanatical Muslims are somehat "passionate" about their beliefs.

Both Bear and Lombardi would have been fired had today's climate of "sensitivity" existed when they lived.

thus they never would have been allowed to accomplish what they did.

Of course I don't know all that there is to this Mike Leach deal at Texas Tech but my feeling at this point is that this kid James did act with an air of "entitlement" and over inflated ego and that his actions in pursuing the creation of this shitstorm were motivated primarily by a selfish ego driven desire to get back at a coach who is a bit

It all starts at home. You can't spank the kids, the teachers can't spank the kids, then they don't listen to anyone, then they go to college and don't listen to coaches, then they graduate college and become losers for life, then they spawn and the cycle is repeated.

Kids are weak now. No spankings, they bitch about everything, and they never take accountability. All these psychologists come out barking on their platforms with the "correct thing to do". God knows, if I hear it on TV or Opera it must be true.
I see several kids a day whose face would be a great place to rest my feet.

It is truly a shame.

At the precise time in a young man's life when they can most benefit from discipline and being coached by a man who is not going to put up with the bullshit that is totally natural for a 19 year old to try to pull.....coach ain't allowed to throw down the gauntlet.

Had I been fortunate to have my ass kicked at 19, my username would likely not contain the word "Lost".

At 18, 19, 20 the male human tries to test boundaries, its why so many "Car Surf" and pretty much any college party you ever go to will be among the most intense and strangest parties you'll ever attend and it will last at least until noon the next day if it can.

I drove Limo for awhile. Got to the point where I literally would not TAKE jobs that entailed dealing with College BOYS. They totally think fart jokes are the highest form of humor.

Good points made in this tread. Lets just "baby" all these babies....
