Trust me, I've contemplated it alot lately. What kills me is when they are half-assed doing something they will swear they are working hard and they yes, feel entitled to everything. Hey, that's the liberal attitude now added in with technology and convenience.

Today's college kids are butter soft and hamburgers. You can't build winning programs with kids needing diaper changes from mommy in college.

I have a few friends that are college professors.... they can't take much more of this generation....for the past 5 years or so. They can't understand why they can't not come to classes, not do required work, get C's and D's on tests and than just ask for extra credit the last day of the Semester so they can get the A or B they NEED so daddy won't take their brand new car away.

There are lots of people getting College Degree's that aren't even earning them. The kids get pushed through High School, get a good relationship with their College Professor's and just do the minimum required and get a Degree. Hell, even a Master's is not even that hard to get anymore. If you know how to play the game that is.

I don't know if it really matters what the context was or not. I wouldn't expect that kind of statement from Sammy, but now that I've seen it I feel no need to treat him with kid gloves anymore.

No I'm not actually. I'm apolitical if anything. I am most accurately a rational humanist who attempts to interpret issues from as many different angles as I can conceive. I rarely view any topic from a perspective of absolutes, or in terms of "black and white". I also try to give all sides a fair scrutiny and understand that consensus is typically found in moderation.

I sort of pity people who see themselves as soldiers and every debate as a battle between Democrats and Republicans, to be honest with you. It's so myopic and suffocating, but also typically American.

HS coaches around here back 20 years ago were all connected, bookmakers, loansharks, ex cons, etc so they related well to the guys. We had no problems and plus some of the coaches would put bets in for us.
