#4The problem is they want to keep all the current taxes AND implement a VAT tax. Soon, there will be no reason to work.

#5In the actual clip Beck said he'd support a VAT if the money went only to the deficit and it was only for 10 years, per a Constitutional Amendment. I dug up the clip cause it sounded strange.
:40 to about 2:20 is relevant

#9Did you expect them to advocate raising taxes on the Rich? We could go back to the 1950s when the rich were taxed 80% or 90%. You know, back when the country wasn't falling apart.
Instead they would advocate Value Added Taxes which are federal sales taxes. The poor spend all of their money, so all of their money is VA Taxed. The rich don't spend all of their money, so not all of their money is VA Taxed.Comment -

#10Originally posted by Cougar BaitYeah, I agree. They are about half as bad as MSNBC. Now, that is REAL propaganda.
Pay careful attention to the end of the clip.
Now back to the clip. I assume you are implying that MSNBC and specifically Chris Matthews were/are propaganda for Obama. yes i heard CM say he wants to see this presidency work. But i don't see how that is some overwhelming propaganda. from what i caught it was after he was elected and it was some talk about who the secretary of state was going to be. Just CM stating that he wanted to see this presidency work doesn't sound like stirring the pot and getting people all relied up and putting false fears and false hope and half truths in their ears.
maybe i can get a show with bells and whistles, bullhorns and a big drawing board and get people all scared that paper money is shit and the whole economy as we know it is collapsing around us and they need to invest in gold and buy as much as they can because before long we will be back to haggling and bartering with each other for goods. All while i secretly still collect a paycheck for a gold selling and buying business that i used to be be a spokesperson for and did late night infomercials for , before i got my tv show. And after scaring the masses with my one hour program and gold shoots up overnight i'll come back the next day touting how it was all me that generated it and still continue to get people to invest in gold.Comment -

#11I agree with you about Beck and his version of Wall Street speculation on gold. I don't agree with that. Nowhere in here will you see me saying Glenn Beck or Bill O'Reilly are the answer. But if someone wants to talk about pure propaganda, look no further than NBC/MSNBC/Chris Matthews (Puffball). Guy is the biggest fraud in the media. Now check this out:

#14Originally posted by Grandmaster Bexactly...who wants to work to pay a politicians vacation when you can find other ways to get money
The following can be attributed to Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor. "A democracy is always temporary in nature: it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority will always vote for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship."
The professor went on to say: "The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:
From bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependency back into bondage."

#16I mean cmon...the government uses a skewed table to determine whether or not disabled/senior americans get a extra $20 a year
and dont worry...Obama is not "changing" it
Now im sure the government got a nice % every month from people as they paid into SSI their entire life
now they dont get a extra $20 to live off of this year
all this free money laying around...I hear alot of people speak about it...but where is it exactly?Comment -

#17Well the "free" was in quotes denoting that it's not free. Because it's not. The government doesn't produce anything of real sustainable value. The people who work here do. So when they are forced to pay for a ridiculous amount of programs to prop-up a corrupt government, you get what you have today. My guess is we are in the apathy to dependence stage considering 30% of the nation’s population already have reached the "governmental dependency" phase.Comment
