    New Laker handicapping Strategy
If they're playing the late game at home, never bet them when favored by double digts. Just hope that they're losing by halftime, so you can hammer the 2nd half bet. I think they cover like 90% of the time when losing at home by the half.

Without Artest anything can happen, he is major factor even not scoring a lot.

This is pretty obvious to anyone who's been following the Lakers over the past few years. LA is the public's favorite team and as a result the spreads are usually inflated by 3 to 5 points against mediocre to weaker teams. These teams usually give it all they got and usually end up losing to LA but not by double digits. You have to understand that teams care about winning not covering big spreads.

i agree though... i follow the lakers a lot and when they are down @ halftime, i love taking them 2nd half. And if you've been following them, this is usually a typical trend. The Lakers are the best team in the league at getting up ahead quick and then falling asleep and letting them other teams back in. Then they usually wake up around the end of the 3rd quarter and into the 4th.

Even back in the shaq era, they were always doing this. I thought that trend would finally end with shaq leaving and a whole new team around kobe, but i guess not....

It's really not a bad idea... since everyone and their mother always decides to show up when they play the lakers. Theres something about knowing that your going to be playing against the best team in the league... versus getting up and playing a mediocre team or even worse.

It's funny how many people have career scoring nights against the lakers. I'm not talking about the starters, it's usually someone unknown x factor steeping up from the bench who just goes on a shooting spree shooting a high %

I'm from LA and this is the only team i won't bet on in all of sports. I just like to sit back, roll up a nice blunt of the O.G. Kush and enjoy the game!

The Lakers are the best team to bet against in the first half (when they're at home at a 7:30 night game), they're such a 3rd quarter team it's not even funny...

Still working like a charm. Just don't ever bet the Lakers at home until the 2nd half.

But as a matter of fact, fading the Lakers in the 1H on the ATS line in their home games is very profitable. It's been so for a very long while. They win the 1Q and lose the 2Q by a margin that enables the road team cover the 1H spread.

My buddy PM'd me and told me he took the Lakers -9.5 2H. He won that by .5 on Kobe's miracle. That's the 6th time Kobe has pulled that miracle off this season, so I don't guess it's a miracle anymore. Just like when Jesus turns natty light into Guinness! It's just what he does!
