How Do Pro Gamblers Do It?
I've been off work for a few days and I'm pulling out my hair ready to go back to get some sort of a schedule back with my life..

How can a pro gambler who doesn't work live without the schedule of going to work 5 days a week for a certain period of time? Do you ever get bored with being a professional gambler?

I work everyday but a lot of what I do is out in the field. I love what I do and I really get bored and depressed if I have any down time doing nothing at all. I need to keep busy and love having a schedule of things that need to be done. I don't get how some people just stay home and sit on a comp.

Maybe hit the gym up for 2 to 3 hours, maybe have sex for an hour or so, maybe handicap for 3 to 5 hours. Believe me it really does take me that long when I'm trying to make serious money I go through tennis and soccer as well as the major U.S. sports. Everyone is now off of work and you are ready to sit on the couch and watch t.v. like everyone else for the rest of the day. It really can be an ordinary life in a lot of ways. When I was in college I didn't work all the way through and what I describe is what I did. A lot of people need to give there lives meaning with working a 8 hour job and that type of foolishness.

                                  Dark Horse,

a lot of these guys can't schedule themselves, the need people to do that for them or else. If they have no structure they can't survive.

I remember one thread where someone asked what you do the 2 hours before game time in the NFL. That 2 hours is a busy time for me..... but for that poster it was killing him waiting for the games to start.

the guys making the real money are:
                                                  1) time structured around the sports schedules
                                                  2) razor sharp in sports odds, and decent statisticians
                                                  3) modeling freaks or have access to a decent originator
                                                  4) very knowledgeable on the markets
                                                  5) not posting in PT

How can a pro gambler who doesn't work live without the schedule of going to work 5 days a week for a certain period of time? Do you ever get bored with being a professional gambler?

You have to have the true degen blood in you to find passion in sitting on your ass capping games. I find no issues

you can get by working a quarter of that, but it's not recommended

it really depends on what you want out of life i guess.

i'd 1000x rather be sitting here on my couch drinking coffee and pounding bowling green quarterback props than getting ready to go into an office and have some morons try and tell me what to do all day. but, if you need that security that no matter what you do you are gonna get paid this week, then get a real job.

If you like enjoying life and not being in front of the computer 24/7 you can't be a pro. Pros are unhealthy, unhappy and die young.

Pro gambling is overrated. Even pros have to do other gigs. BeSt pro gambler such as Phil ivey still depend on endorsements for income instead of just playing tourneys and sit n go's cuz even the best have slumps.
