Will Saints bench players Week 17? They can't go 0-3, to finish out the season, can they?

seems like they have to right the ship, and get a good rhythm going into the playoffs.. but they do have home field clinched throughout the playoffs thanks to minny's loss last night... I think we have to wait to hear from the saints during a press conference today, and watch the opening line. to get a better indication

If Drew Brees and the rest of the starters play more than a half, I would be highly surprised.
They have to play hard in order to "right the ship" on Sunday for "all four quarters".

Zbioz will he do a Indianapolis on us and pull all the starters out in the second half. You already have enough injuries on your team. I would let certain guys rest for two weeks here if they are hurt and they do not need to play this game on Sunday. That will almost give them three weeks to get healed up.
What is the status of Shockey though Zboiz? That is the key to winning I believe. He was awesome when he was playing.

Shockey can play Sunday but that's up to Payton he are saving injured players for the playoffs. Sean Payton said he could have played against Tampa but he didn't want to risk the injury getting worse before it heel completely.
But our team will be healthy and at full strength come playoffs.
But I do believe Payton will sit some players come Sunday in the 3rd!

Zboiz thanks for the update on Shockey. He was part of the reason why they were playing so well. I hope they are prepared for the playoffs there. It is concerning to me that they lost to Tampa though.

Saints ego won't allow them to bench no one. Its been known that they were trying for an undefeated season but things got blown up. Their pride will want them to win once before the bye.

Carolina is so hot right now, it might not matter if the Saints play their starters or not.
I find it very tough to believe that the Saints will go balls to the wall trying to win a meaningless game like this.
