Look at Torelli's documented picks on covers.com. He started documenting them on 12/11/09. If you were to bet $500 per game, like he was doing, on every game since 12/11/09, you would be 51-27-6, 65.38%, +$10,050. That's using 10% vig. That's on pace for over $120,000/year. That's Torelli alone. Mix in Marc Lawerence and Parsons....now that's a deadly combination.

I checked torelli's picks listed on the forum- and i got around a 20w, 17 l record. so it would be close around that. Apparently they dont post all of his picks if he hit that. Now- i always believe that the longer the track record a person has- the more trust you can put in them. Joey doesn't have a long enough track record for me to put my trust in him. Marc- he does, nick parsons does, and others. But joey- 2-3 mths- not enough. 1-2 yrs is enough, but i haven't seen that from him.

by the way that 20win, 17 loss- is only for the month of december. So maybe back later on in the mths- he accumulated that record.

Look at covers, not this forum. They are documented there. Almost at 100 picks at 65% is very good. 20-17 isn't even close. I know I've been personally following him for about 2 1/2 months now and haven't lost a week yet. He's very consistent. When you have a goal for such a high $ target, you need consistency.

51-27-6 is just since 12/11/09. 84 picks in 20 days and hitting Over 65% is very solid.

Anyway, that's just his free picks. So it cost you, 0, to make that

Okay, now is it good to follow marc, and nick via this forum. The reason i ask that- is because all of their picks are not posted here. Because when i look at covers.com and their record for the day they usually have more picks.

It's not good to follow these forums if your going to tail guys 100%. You should get the picks directly from the source. That way, you know your 1.) getting every play they release and 2.) your getting the right plays. So many times you see people posting bogus plays. Not something you wanna mess with if your trying to stay strict and reach a goal.

Okay. Now if im doing 1-2 games a day- what would you say is a good % per game to put down.

Well that's the question that all depends on your bankroll.

yeah i was thinking 5 percent. some days i play 1 game, some days i play 2. like today im playing 2. i dont so much look in terms of bankroll, i just look at a set % that i will use over the longterm as to what would be the best.

Proper money management should have you utilizing a % of bankroll method. You'll minimize your risk, while maximizing your potential for profit. Your only suppose to bet a few % of your bankroll on every game.

Gamblers that don't follow this method usually end up broke alot faster than those who follow by this very well known method. The reason for this is usually the people who don't follow this method, don't really have a bankroll to begin with and are gambling with money they don't have.

Yes and then i think it all depends on the amount of games you play per day. If you're playing 1-2 games a day, then 5 percent i belive it is fair. If you're playing 5-10 games a day, then 1-2 percent i believe is fair. As far as the other services- marc, nick, etc-- i think the forum posts his best picks for the day. i tracked both of them- and in the month of december they hit around 60 percent. So i may just follow those sources, as well as mine and use maybe 2-3 percent per game. I averaged it up- with a $10k bankroll, if i put 3 percent per game on those 2 sources, as well as my other sources. I would have in profit from dec 1 to today- about $9,000.

If your going to do it the right way, have a bankroll. Otherwise here are a few analogies....

Starting a sportsbetting venture without a bankroll is the same as these questions:::

would you start a limo business with no limos?
would you start a computer business with no computers?
would you open a barber shop with no scissors?

                            Getting the idea?

Have a plan and proper tools, which in this case is a bankroll and money management plan.

Well also another saying is, dont wait till everything is perfect to start a business. Start now with a little, because good chances are if you wait till everything is perfect- it probaly wont be perfect- because you wont get their, because you procrastinated. Use the tools and resources you have every day to build yourself into a successful biz person.

Wesley as someone who does this I am telling you(even though you likely won't listen) at the present time you have no chance to do this. Here is the salient points form your posts.

                                          1. your strategy is to find someone who wins and rely on them to out of the kindness of their heart tell you what to bet

                                          2. your not sure what you should bet so you canvass people to reaffirm your amount in your head of 2-5%

                                          3. you are going to make 1 or 2 bets a day...not try to look for 15 to 40 plus ev situations daily

                                          4. you are going to have the skills to succeed at this business because you like sports and it seems so easy

Not knowing anything about you other than your posts everybody who makes money doing this would gladly book your action. Good luck and I hope this saves you some money.

alot have tried to make a living in this busness and have failed. it takes alot to make 100k/yr. you have to have deep pockets, you have to bet within your means, don't chase, only bet good #'s, and spend a lot of time on it.. you can't do this 1 hr a day, you must spend lots of time.. there are many other factors. you can't teach anyone to just make money. .it's not that easy. it's for some people and it's not for alot more.. you either got it or you don't.. a guy like sammy has zero chance of ever making money in this business cause he's immature, he's cocky, he never listens.. and he's arrogant and thinks he's better than everyone.. and he refuses to bet anything but favorites. he doesnt' listen. i know a ton of kids like sammy.. those guys will never make money in this business.

and alot that do have what it takes, still fail because they realize it's not as easy as they think it is and then bet big on tv games laying-110 at the right # cause they are chasing their sunday losses, etc...

                                                      it's not an easy game..
