Are they .rar files by any chance?

Are they .iso files? Use a program like Daemon tools to mount these files and open them.

What OS are you using (Windows XP? Windows 7?)

.nfo files should be able to be viewed, opened through Notepad. Likely though that these are just descriptions, often text art imagery, the creator of the torrent has made to describe what was supposed to be in the torrent or contain other info....like Hashlinks to similar torrents.

Right click on the file, choose 'Open with' and select Notepad.

What u need is winrar. Then open the folder where the torrent is saved. Highlight everything at once what has the file extension .rar then right click and click extract here. Then it will extract into one big file for viewing. Make sure u highlight all the .rar files at once, not seperate

check the extension of the file... some time when you download videos the extension fouls up when you try to play them. try to change the extension of the video to MP3 and see if that works...
