    2010 SBR Resolutions
    Let me start by making one for everyone else to use. Quit calling plays SHARP or SQUARE. There are two categories of plays and ONLY two. WINNERS or LOSERS. Shove that in your crack pipe for 2010 and use it wisely. There are no sharps. There are no squares. Only poon-tangles who use this terminology. Feel free to add your own.

                          you know when you are letting someone in the passenger door of your car and the door is locked and when they reach to open the card door at the exact same time you are leaning over to unlock it? It always gets stuck right? well no more.

                            i swear and i will stick to this one..

                            i will do 500 push ups every single day 10 reps of 50.. and will have the chest i once had 4 yrs ago.. it all came from push ups.

                            push ups are great for the upper body, and triceps, and make you stronger overall.. and they burn tons of calories. i had lost 25 lbs in 1 yr doing them and my body fat went down by 30%.. they build muscle.. you dont even need to go to the gym to do weights if you do push ups.

                            Try it boys, and you'll see what i mean..

                                    you would win.. i swear to god, 5 yrs ago, i was doing sets of 125 with ease.

                                    today, i tried doing pushups and i couldnt do more than 7 without struggling.

                                      I'm in the same boat. I used to lift, haven't touched a weight in 8 years. Upper body is getting soft.

                                      Just tried the push-ups, did 25 and was spent. I've been thinking the same thing as you the past couple weeks, to use push-ups to get the muscle going. I'll probably hurt myself going straight to weights, trying to do what I used to do when the body just ain't the same.

                                      Good luck on your quest, I'm doing the same thing. Start with 10 sets of 25/day, increase every week or two...

                                        in 2001, i went to gym. did bench.. i maxed 157 lbs.. was depressed.stayed home and did not touch a weight for 6 months. ONLY pushups.. 200 per day about.. went back to gym 6 months later. i was benching 245 lbs with ease.. that's what pushups do to you. they give you incredible upper body strength and my triceps were harder than the wall. i swear if anyone touched them accidentally, they'd alwys say, omg, your arms are like a brick wall. and my chest was popping out and my traps were defined. it gives you a great strong upper body.

                                        you all should try it. don't do weights and just do pushups and watch the results. oh, and you'll trim up too.. it burns a lot of calories.

                                                Yep, I'm doing it for sure. Starting before Jan 1st. Going to do 2 or 3 more sets tonight then continue on. 10 sets of 25 on New Years day. My upper body feels really weak.

                                                    i can't argue with you loster.. loster, i don't work, i have all the free time in the world to do this. it takes 30 seconds each time.. but why is it that i have such a hard time to get off couch and do this?? i don't know why.. i have no motivation..

                                                    The only motivation i will have in 2010 is that i will feel great about myself in July and Aug when i go out with my t shirt and size 32 jeans and look good with a tight body and no stomach. did you also know that when i was doing push ups regularly, my appetite got so big that i was eating 24 hrs a day and still losing weight because my metabolism was moving so fast, it was a fat burning machine. Pushups does wonders. it is the only exercise that you dont need to go to gym to be a beast and muscular.

                                                    the push ups are one big gym. and better. it's cheaper, better and easier because you do it from your own living room whenever you want, even while watching your games. you can do this during commercials. And the results are even better than weights.

                                                      Its easier for a body that is prone on a couch to remain so, rather than to get up. I guess.

                                                      I'm convinced that the only reason I remain living today is because I rode bicycle a great deal of miles as a youth. Often 80 miles in a day, with a strict 5 pm curfew, would have to set out at 5am to get started.

                                                      I believe that this strengthened my heart and lungs to such a degree that I've been able to survive this long despite smoking. I think theres no other real reasonable explanation.

                                                      I hope that you will succeed in your commitment, "push ups regularly,appetite so big that i was eating 24 hrs a day and still losing weight because my metabolism was moving so fast, it was a fat burning machine"

                                                      Probably how a well functioning body is supposed to operate....blood flowing well, body active, vibrant.

                                                            This post motivated me to do a couple sets of push ups. 2 years ago I was using the perfect push up equipment that I saw on an infomercial and I felt strong as an ox. Then 1 day I just stopped using it and gradually got weak again. PUSH UPS WORK.

                                                                  i like this loster guy.. he says it the way it is and i respect him about it.. it's all true what he says too.. it's easy to just say we're going to do 500 push ups and then you do it for 3 days, then it's down to 300, then 100, and soon to be 0.. but i will not allow this to happen..

                                                                  mikey, i'm happy you see what i see. i too when i did my 500/day, i felt strong as an ox and would have tons of energy all day. i felt great and alive. then i stopped for a few yrs. i don't feel the same anymore. no energy at all, my back always hurts, it takes me everything to get off the couch and go to kitchen. i am out of breath if i go pee. yesterday i climbed 1 flight of stairs, i thought i was going to die. when i did push ups, i would climb 7 flights and not even be out of breath and i hardly had an ounce of fat on me and was solid with a big chest, and small waist.. size 32.. i always got compliments. today i have the body of homer simpson and fred flintstone. it's never too late, mikey.

                                                                  sickler, i like this motivating thing.. we can encourage each other by pulling up thread and doing updates to see if we are keeping it up, and if we're not, just motivate each other.. Just remember, summer is not too far away..btw sickler, i do push ups with my hands on floor.. are those things much helpful?? how do they help.. should i buy those??
