Going there for a few weeks. Can anybody answer these 2 questions? Serious replies appreciated.

1. Does the government there let you wager at online sportsbooks?

2. Do any books not allow bets from China?

I don't know the answer to your specific question, but I would use caution until you know for certain it is not going to land you in trouble with the Chinese authorities. They have crazy penalties for seemingly innocuous offenses and we know they monitor internet usage.

in the mainland you are not supposed to gamble online, but nobody cares

they usually block the sites, depends which province you will be in
