High Roller Nintendo Betting

compaqdikk, ronald, BAUS and I used to meet up in the early 90s and play Dusty Diamond's All-Star Softball for the NES. Except there was a twist. Batter would get $0.10 per single, $0.25 for a double, $0.40 for a triple and $1 for a home run. Fielder's choice does not count as single. We were all a little barreled in, especially me and compactor, because our allowances were puny and few opportunities to hustle. This game was our only potential source of income.

I am looking to get together a group of posters in the new year to play high roller's All-Star Softball for the NES. Terms:

$100 single
$250 double
$400 triple
$1000 home run
$10,000 grand slam

We will have a bank representative on site to handle the allocation of funds. Italian meat and cheese spreads will be provided. No pizza as controllers get greasy and impossible to clean.

First 10 posters to post up 40 dimes are in.

UPDATE:

Tournament occurred yesterday evening, and into the early morning. Results:

mathdotcom - started strong with 4 grand slams in a single game against jjgold, but then tanked a little against compactor later in the evening. +$15,000
jjgold - guy could not hit a ball to save his life, and pitching was horrendous. Always fastballs down the middle, even when pitcher got tired and throwing ~ 40mph. -$60,000 cash and also lost van and tools in the back
compaqdikk - guy shows up wearing a mink and gold on every finger, like he owns the place. Does not even take off his snakeskin loafers, just comes in and takes a seat in between me and lioneye. He has this big grin on his face, and every single tooth is made out of fukkin gold. Unbelievable, what a character. Would not even take off sunglasses entire evening. Boys, compactor took the group for over 70 dimes. We suspect foul play but can prove nothing.
Bread - no show. a real classless fukk.
Nicky Santauro - Nicky came just to watch, said all his money was tied up in CRIS and could not get even a few hundred cash to join the game. With compactor there I don't blame him. Nicky is sharp and lost only a few dollars on the cheetohs and Ritz crackers he brought.
onthewhat - another no show, what a pussy. We thought he would come just to see Nicky but even that could not get him out. The coach thinks he couldn't get time off from Wendy's.
flyinglioneye - the real character of the night boys, flying lion eye. He walks in with 10 fukkin pizza pies and 3 broads on each arm, not to mention a tube of yayo the size of my arm. Everyone pauses nintendo even though compactor has Diablo at the plate at the easy-to-homer Sandlot park and bases loaded with black baserunners. Whole room rushes to get the pizza with Nicky in front. What a fukkin battle for pizza. We are playing $100/single but jump at opportunity to get a free slice. There was meat lovers, pepperoni n mushroom, hawaiian, deluxe. No vegetarian. Nicky and jj do not touch as not a single pizza without pork. Lioneye then dumps the yayo on the fukkin granite countertop I had installed last month, it looks like a fukkin bakery there's so much powder everywhere. The coach is all over this shit, snorting and licking and chewing the yayo like a madman and trying to grind with all the broads and lift up their skirts. compactor pretends to sample the yayo but he is really shoving as much as he can into his pocket to sell at later date. This guy seriously does not miss an opportunity to make a buck.

All in all a good night and looking forward to another evening of high roller nintendo.
