Had to relate this one ... its a long read but worth the effort ....
Wife worked Christmas eve night as a Blizzard blew through here ... she called me Christmas day morning at 7.15am to let me know that she was just leaving work ... the roads were real bad - we had gotten 10 inches of snow overnight and she asked me to go shovel off the driveway so that she could get the car off the road ....
I dragged my happy ass out of bed .... went outside into the 30 mph winds and sure enough stepped right into snow that was around 10 inches deep .... thought to myself .. stuff this ... and promptly went back inside to call her and tell her it was too deep to shovel and the wind chill was almost zero so she would just have to do her best to get the car on the drive ....
I then went to make a nice cup of coffee ... and sat at my computer desk (which overlooks the drive) to log-in here and wait for her to pull up to the drive so that i could stand at the window and point left or right to give her an idea of which way would be best to turn to try and get the car onto the drive ....
Knowing that she would be around another 30 mins I settled in and started reading .. all toasty and warm now -- when out of the corner of my eye i noticed the 82 year old woman who lives across the street was outside her house ... straining my eyes i noticed that the old git had a shovel in her hand .. and that she was attacking the 10" deep snow like a demon .....
Son of a BITCH !!!

Had my wife pulled into the drive and seen her out there working away and then looked up to see me pointing and laughing at her attempts to get the car into the drive - my life would have been a living hell over the rest of Christmas ... so I reluctantly had to get my fat ass back out there and start shoveling that shit ...
Neighbor still has not figured out why I was pissed and just growled "mnnhuh" when she cheerily wished me a "Merry Christmas"
