Planning a trip to Costa Rica

OK to those that are in CR. I am planning on going to Costa Rica during February. Any Tips of where to stay so I can enjoy myself and be safe. Also any poker rooms I can play at? Am looking at San Jose but wouldn't mind some side trips to the beach/mountains. BTW my Spanish is non existent.

I'll look around and give you some tips ... they are some nice places in an area called Belen. Close to airport and close to "biggest" Casino. There is also some Hotels that sponsor poker around here. So I will send you an email and see what you decide.

You will enjoy it there, 20Four7. Lots of hotels downtown are good choices in San Jose. I have stayed at the Quality Central Colon and it was a good place for short money. Plenty of casinos and poker rooms around these days - any cab driver can take you around to find -anything- you need.

If you want to be a little more away from things and stay somewhere more upscale, the Doubletree Cariari is a good spot. I have stayed there a few times and Doubletree's site has the best rates.
