I let everyone keep the change today when I bought breakfast and lunch. It sucks to work holidays and I've been there.

But do you think it's better to not toss that extra 45 cents their way? Does it just rub it in more that their life and job sucks?

I gave a bathroom attendant a 5 at Soldier Field a couple weeks back and he was really happy.

Hopefully he didn't buy crack with it.

You have to remember that waiters and waitresses only make like 2.50 an hour or something like that. They get most of their money from Tips. I leave them 15-20% always.

I think Reload was talking about eating fast food and in that case its also cool to leave a small tip, those people only make minimum wage which is what, 6 or 7 bucks an hour?

Yes - breakfast was from Dunkin Donuts and lunch was from Subway. Pay must be wicked low and they are on their feet a lot.
