To balance things out Ontario could ship a few million of our 11 million citizens to reside in Vancouver, that would make you guys feel alot better - wouldn't it?

You guys would get a chance at having a bit of political influence with double your current population and the transplanted Ontarians could enjoy the BC rain.

Sounds like a win-win situation.

Now, sticking strictly to the NHL, re the animosity I have towards the Leafs. I know many Ontarians here that rooted for the Ducks against the Leafs a couple years ago in the finals. I was rooting for the Sens because they were based in Canada while all my Torontonians rooted for the Ducks. They friggen hate Ottawa for reasons only someone from Ontario can truly appreciate. Same reason we in BC love to see the Leave fail year after year. Ahh 1994, Greg Adams's goal on Potvin to knock out the Leaves in 5 was so sweet.

you have heard why we hate the Leafs but enlighten me as to why you guys hate the Sens? Perhaps you are one of the few that do not, if so I apologize for my stereotypical assumption, but if you did root for the Ducks, then help enlighten someone like myself.

Dwight I personally was cheering for the Sens in the playoffs, the only time I don't cheer for Ottawa is when they play the Leafs.

The Leafs/Sens Rivalry is more of an I hate Toronto thing than anything else, the fact that Ottawa had a couple of years where they were very good brought alot of bandwagon Sens fans out of the closet,.

I don't know if you remember but the Leafs have never NEVER lost a playoff series to Ottawa. When the Senators destroyed the Leafs in the regular season and were heavily favoured against Toronto the Leafs beat the Sens in 4 straight games!

I believe the Leafs played Ottawa three straight years in the playoffs and eliminated the Sens each time.

Ottawa's psyche is fragile - they hate the Leafs but and are fearful of losing to them. I see alot of Leaf fans in Ottawa when I visit.

PS: I love Ottawa as a city, as I do Vancouver (I lived in Richmond for two years 1993-94) and Montreal but I love my hometown (Toronto) more.
