John will often resort to giving us "the business" when inquiries are made about the nuts and bolts of SBR, much like a press secretary. Since his responses often have no bearing on the original question, he can't fault us for questioning how much he actually knows about his own company.

Wow, John. You always say how you want people to be critical about the forum to make it better. You invited people this week to start threads every time they think they have been wronged by a mod. Last year you actually employed someone who had previously insulted posters and the SBR crew continually. But the minute I post something as tame as this, you call me a whacko.

But John, I think you miss/avoid the point. Someone asks if Willie is still a mod and then ignore the question, tell us how he's an SBR man but then you don't know anything about his situation. Someone/me (indirectly) asks if Ganchrow has been fired and you spin a yarn on how he should be posting then a month later he'll be away for a while and won't be posting and a month after that that you don't know anything about his situation and you suggest someone calls him for an update.

The point is - as I'm sure you knew all along - is that the Iraqi Information Minister came out with preposterous statements which only an idiot would believe. I'm sure you know that not everyone here is an idiot.

I have not been in operations in SBR in two years. I do not office there. I see the managers usually at the quarterly meetings. If a move is made on personnel I am not aware until afterwords. Its all in good fun but I will always give you an honest answer, if I give one. With Ganch he was going to post, that was what I was told. He didnt. With Willie I consider him a friend and a fine man. I have no clue what his status is with SBR and I wouldnt discuss it publicly if I did. SBR has a lot of new projects. My guess is he is running a new project. Hope so, he deserves it.
