in fact the team with the best regular season record has only BEEN to the super bowl 1 time in the last 5 years.... that was NE obviously in the 2007-08 season..



the Pats beating the Eagles in 2003 was the last team to have both the regular season record AND super bowl title in the same year.

before that it was 1996 when the GB packers with a 13-3 record beat the 11-5 NE Pats.... Denver was also 13-3 that year...

Numbers can blows us out more on collegiate leagues, where a hoop's team have an 8 year record of 194-16, winning 4 South Region titles and, in 2005, an NCCAA II National Championship.. This performance has grant them a divisional upgrade, they will enter the Sun Conference as a fully active member next season. Still, highly unprovable they will win a NCAA I National Championship on March.
