Haven't done any xmas shopping yet. Prob spend $200 on my mom and $200 on my sister. Thats probably the extent of my gifts though. From what I've learned, people like you more if you ignore/forget them.

Personally I don't spend much on Christmas. I have no wife or kids myself. I used to basically have female friends who had kids and I would provide Christmas for them but that ship has sailed.

My mom just retired and is now on a fixed income. So I gave her $1100 to buy Christmas gifts for the grandchildren. My sister is staying with us because she lost her job. She's broke and so my neice was gonna have very little for Christmas so I gave my mom another $500 to NOT give the money to my sister but take her shopping to buy my neice Christmas gifts from my sister. Then I get home and turns out is my neices birthday. Crap! Sister is broke so my neice isn't gonna get anything for her birthday so I run out lastnight and buy $100 worth of stuff and give it to my sister to wrap and say it was from her for my neice and then uncle Wal gave the neice $50 cash from him.

I'm done spending for Christmas. I don't want anything from the ones I helped out in return but I do hope Karma is paying attention.
