That's happened to me one time. It had nothing to do with nerves, which it sounds like in your case it may have been. I was mixing a lot of drugs that evening, and the desire just wasn't there. It was fortunately with a girl I'd had relations with prior to that, so there wasn't any awkwardness involved.

To my credit, I did manage to have sex while coked up out of my mind, which many of my friends were never able to do. And most people in general can't do.
