    Even MORE trouble for USC.
    From the LA Times:

USC will be shorthanded for the Emerald Bowl -- starting tight end Anthony McCoy and starting right tackle Tyron Smith are academically ineligible to play against Boston College in Saturday's game in San Francisco. So is defensive tackle Averell Spicer, who is not a starter but who usually plays significant minutes.

McCoy is the reason USC beat ND this year. Key part of their offense.

Just a bunch of lazy seniors who decided to skip the academics in their last year. Too bad, because these guys just made it harder for the team, but Ayles is a very capable replacement for McCoy, who was in and out with injuries earlier in the season. Spicer was also out for a couple of weeks with an injury. McKnight woll probably not play until the eligability question is cleared up. Allan Bradford anc C.J. Gable were going to see most of the work anyways, so this is not a big deal. USC will use this game to see what needs to be done next spring. Bradford looks like the real deal.

IMO, USC will lose the game.

not going to matter. USC much more talented and better coached. USC -7.5 easy money!

Make that THREE USC starters not playing. Add Averell Spicer who is also academically ineligible. And as a previous poster mentioned Joe McKnight is looking even more doubtful with every passing hour.
