is no diff than when you are in a cab and all you're doing the whole time is looking at the meter.. boys, yesterday i bet an over and it dawned on me, you ever notice when you bet an over, all you ever do is look at that fukkin clock..i can't take my eyes off it.. i swear i don't even watch the game, i am just looking at the clock.. i bet all of you are like this too.. i hate it. when you have an over, and they hand off the ball and you see 40 more secs off the clock, don't you go awwwwwwww fukk.. then you say.. pass the fukkin ball., and you see another hand off for 1 yd, another 40 secs off.. and then you scream, why you not passing?? and then on 3rd and 9, you see another hand off for 2 yds and now you are going bollistic...doesn't it make you boil??

even in NBA, all you do is look at the clock. whether you have over or under, all you do is keep saying, alright, 3 pt'er, and then you calculate each second what pace you are on.. ok, i am on a 248 pace and i am over 210.. yesss. oh wait a sec, he just missed it, damn, i am now on 218 pace. fukkk. oh no, he missed again, now i am on a 198 pace.. fukk, i lost.. no way i am winning.. or if you have un 41 in NFL and it's 7-7, 4 min in, you say, fukk, i lost.. damn. or if you have over 5.5 in NHL and it's 0-0 late 1st, you say, oh well, i have no chance at winning this one, I LOST...

all you're ever doing is looking at the clock and not the game. next time you bet a total, watch and see how i am right. you NEVER take your eyes off the clock for more than 4 seconds. it's frustrating.. that's why i hate betting totals. it drives me crazy.. it's a disease..

Totals are the highest stress bets you can make, it is true all you do is look at the clock and keep tallying up points in your head and running what if qtr point scenarios, gambling is real bad .

Don't you hate when you have an under in college football, and he runs for close to a first down, and they stop the clock mark the ball, then restart the clock and you only lose 5-10 seconds.

Or when you have over and QB throws an incomplete pass, and scorer forgets to stop the clock, and it keeps ticking and ticking, and no one in the world notices it except for you. Drives you insane.

The best example of this is the DirecTV scoreguide which you can minimize to one game as an insert on any sports channel. I don't even end up watching the game that I have on, I spend my time cycling through the scoreguide calculating the pace of each game in my head. I agree with Nicky, the longer I gamble the fewer totals I play.

This may help.... Start looking for good unders. I like playing unders because the total is usually juiced up on the over for the public's taste. Public betting being more slanted toward the over and the favorite. I rarely bet the over in any sport. I like playing unders because even when I lose a under I look back and say.... Damn, I was really fukked... Alot had to happen for me to lose. Last, but not least.. You are essentially always winning the under until you lose and you are always losing an over until you win. Iregardless of the pace you are witnessing. The pace can change in the hearbeat. I can't tell you how many unders I have cashed when the pace looked bad for me and then all of sudden in the 4th quarter evrerything changed... Just some thoughts. Also, I am hardly ever out of it when I have a under. Allows me to keep dopamine longer.

If you blindly played every under in the NFL this year you would be at 53.64% winners. Non overtime games 55.02%. With some ability work and a little luck you can do better than that..

The great (or bad) thing about soccer is that you can have under 2.5..... and they'll put in 2 goals in the first 8 minutes, but you'll still have a shot at a 1-1 FT score. And vice versa.

Feel good about my total right now... but it could just end right at 2-0.

If you like the 'tension' on under/over bets, then an over/under bet w/ half a goal needed (or to spare) w/ a lot of time remaining can be a doozy.

yeah, basketball is the worse. i can't tell you how many times i'd have under 208 and game is 41-35 at the half and you know you won.. or do you.

game is still way way under with 6 min to go.. then what do you know.. OT.. it's ok, you still won, right?? not really. a 2nd OT.. its ok, you still won, right?? NO.. in the 3rd OT, all fouls fouls fouls and game goes over..


you're never safe with basketball unders.. i have also seen 31 pts scored in the last 2 min with just three's, easy lay ups, and fouls galore.. if it's a 6 pt game with 2 min to go, i don't care how good your are looking, you are going to sweat facing either OT or fouls.

I bet a total once....... looked really good as they scored 117 in the first half. But then they pulled all the starters with 6 min to go and the scrubs managed 4 baskets (2 for each team) and missed the over by 3.

That was a year ago and I no longer bother with BS totals.
