Do teams really have any control?

I mean, isn't everything predicted by the ML or spread before the game even starts, its just a matter of who "gets lucky this time"...

Its all luck, who wins the turnover battle, who gets a muffed punt, who gets a tipped interception return for 50 yards, who gets whatever...

Teams, players, they dont control anything, they are only subject to their level of skill and luck on that day.

Does this sound right? Maybe I need to sleep...

I guess this goes back to the argument bet the numbers not the teams.
