Here's a suggestion that a group of people I know do every year. For each bowl game, you pick the team to win the game SU. Each win is worth 2 points, with bonus points as follows:
spread of less than 3 - no bonus points
3-4 point dog = +1
4.5-6 point dog = +2
6.5-9.5 point dog = +3
10+ point dog = +4
I guess the downside is you would have to post the lines for all the games on Dec. 21, or whatever.
They could be posted something like this, I guess:
USC -7 (2 points)
Texas +7 (5 points)
Pretty much regardless of how you do the contest, I will join.

So, how about it fellas. Does this sound like a good idea? I need to know within the next few days if there will be any interest in a premium contest.

I'd rather have something like where each guy gets 100 units to work with and have to make bets from 1-10 units, then determine the winner by highest ROI or total units (this would be harder to decide, i.e. point that has to be reached if using ROI). Something that will reward the best cappers, not the ones that can pick the most winners out of every single game (many of which present no value).

I like the contest but not by any of the formats mentioned. How bout something simpler like you get 10 picks up to a certain date and if any one's tied you go to a playoff for the remaining games.

The format is still up for discussion. It seems like you guys have alot of good ideas and I am racking my brain to come up with a fair and fun contest. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

i would do it, I have done this with the format of each game you get right you get the bowl purse, but that might weight the BCS too much for most peoples liking

Here's the format we will use if there's enough interest:
Each player will start with 100 units
Players must play 18 out of the 28 bowl games or they will be disqualified
Players may risk 1-5 units on each game
Players must use lines posted
Sides only
Tie breaker will be total points scored in the Rose Bowl
