Poster of the year is too subjective like most all awards. Should it be quality over quantity or the reverse. Obviously there are posters here who deliver more productive post but fewer post. As well as posters who spam the board but rarely back any of them up with any content.
The award is a nice recognition for recognitions sake but it hardly does anything to promote a better SBR. I don't say this to be negative, merely a personal perspective.
Sammy obviously has set out to win this award and he certainly has made himself very recognizable. He has accomplished garnering plenty of friends and loyal followers (be it following his success or waiting for the train wreck) as well as earned the scorn of those who depise attention seeking spammers.
There would appear to be no guidelines as to what warrents an award of this magnitude so whomever recieves it should both proud for earning it and puzzled at why?Comment -

Then again I have always been partial to those in any walk of life who do things just for the sake of doing them regardless of who is watching or what rewards can be earned in the process. he quiet guy who doesn't know he's being noticed but is.
There are posters here at SBR that never get any acclaim because they are rarely heard from. Yet when they do those keen to the scene always pay attention. Personally that is the type of person I would want recognized.
Sammy doesn't meet that criteria but that is no fault of his. As SBR is what Sammy represents is what get's the attention and what will ultimately win awards for being noticed. As I said this is no fault of Sammy. He understands how things are and is smart enough to take advantage of it. Sammy unfortunately has a long future of forum recognition I am affraid. It is already in his blood. He is addicted. Where most young men his age would not have the time to post the countless post he has amassed because they would be spending all their free time chassing ass. So I guess in many ways Sammy has earned this potential award.Comment
