    What is a power nap?
My friend I was talking to on the phone said he was going to take a power nap. How do you take a power nap?

I call them that when I pull over while driving to take a 5-10 minute nap!

It makes me feel much better!

This is what people call "power nap" because it relieves most of the tiredness!

A hard short nap versus a long rested sleep.

I sometimes take power naps during the day after pulling an all-nighter for work. Trick is to drink a cup of coffee right before and to set your alarm clock for 45 minutes later. Any longer and you'll get into deep(er) sleep and **** up the rest of your day.

            Power naps are awesome.

In college I used to have a class that ended at 2:50pm and another that started at 3:30pm. I could go to my room and take a 20 minute power nap without setting the alarm clock and be in the 3:30 class on time. Best thing ever and oh so hard to accomplish as a working man with a family and a job.

It's a way for sleep deprived people to believe they are healthy. They don't want to accept that working 40-50 hours a week and still living your life AND getting 8hrs of sleep per night is virtually impossible. So they get maybe 6 hrs of sleep and then try to take a power nap during the day for 10 or 15 minutes.

Makes you feel less tired for only half an hour but the physiological damage from not sleeping 8hrs/day is still there.

I thought it was when you are having a dream about banging some hot chick and you wake up with...no wait, that's a wet nap. Nevermind.

Nice 20 minute refresher hits the spot.
