Now there has been a lot of hate on the young kids around here and for the most part I agree with what is being said about them. For example how they go broke quick, poor money management, ect. Well, we have all been there were most of us kids are now in that 19-22 year old range that was mentioned. Im going to use this thread to rise above this stereotype and show that not all of us kids are as stupid as most of us are.
Ive been paroozing this board for about a year and a half now, actually got a username over the past summer, and dont really post much. I tried to start a couple of pick threads but I rarely have time to keep up with them with school and work.
In this past july i became diciplined. I cant remember the last time i made a parlay or teaser, or even bet on tilt. I leared the hard way- deposit, make a solid bankroll, get greedy, and lose it all in a day. This behavior came with beginners luck combined with being a square. But since then i have been doing quite well and I am very proud of it. actually most of my learning came from some of the longtime posters here with great advice.
Now my bankroll isnt much but it means something to me and I hope i can be an example here for many. In july i had a 125 dollar bankroll at Matchbook. (most of the time they have the best lines) I started betting 10 dollars a game until i got to 400 and i started betting 20 dollars a game. To most this isnt much but for me gambling has become a wonderful hobby. Today my bankroll is at 800 dollars after my 49ers win last night I am currently going to start betting to win 30 dollars a game, which i guess you could say is my unit. (3.5-4% of my bankroll)
My starting bankroll for this thread will be $800 and i hope i am not going to jinxx myself by starting this thread. Ill post my plays and if i have time my writeups. I guess even if i lose it will take a lot longer to get out of the game than most of us kids. So here it goes. Any insight, discussion, comments, questions are welcome.
Tonight: Starting Bankroll -$800
NJ Nets +14.5 (-110 The Greek) 33 to win 30
Sacramento +7 (-105 Matchbook) 32 to win 30
