Value of Tailing a Service?

hey guys

I am kinda new here. Just wanted some advice. I have read through many threads on this board in the last month but never found one on point.

What I would like to know is, can you make decent money (like doubling your investment over a season) by religiously following a reputable service, like Doc's, Ferringo, etc. There are lots of posts saying that it is the worst thing in the world to tail a service and others that say that it can make you money.

I know its best to make your own pics, which i have been doing off an on for a couple of years but i just dont know enough about some sports to do my own pics. So the question is, has anyone on here followed a service and made money on one or better two full seasons and made money betting their exact units and using their BR money management strategy without deviation. I know the services advertise that they will make you all this money but I would love to hear from actual clients.

also, i tried to find an independent rating of services. Can anyone point to a truly independent, trustworthy rating where you can find a good service for longterm, not just someone who had a winning month.

I would really appreciate any feedback.

I dont see a ranking of services anywhere on SBR front page. The rankings are only for sportsbooks. I have already picked a few books that i would like to use. just need a similar rating guide for the services that provide pics

well here is the thing. i know that there are very few, but that means there are some.

i just want to hear from someone who has used these few reputable services and made money, if there are such people. thats all.

i would only pay if i was dead certain that i was gonna make money in the long run. not falling for all the BS. i have been around for long enough to know that.

to make money of course! LOL! that was the main thing in my question, can you make money betting on a sport without putting in any effort, relying completely on the advice of a service.

Nope, tout service = lost $$$$. If any tout service was that good they would invest all of their "clients" money into their own picks, make a killing and shut down.

If you don't know the sport don't bet on it.

I think there's too much info available to you to pay for picks. All the info you need is here on this forum, you just have to find it or ask for help. The advantage we have as bettors is to small to be paying others to make our decisions for us. Plus what happens when you HATE his picks for the day or he is on a bad run. Tailing religiously isn't gonna be easy. GL

thanks for the info. well i wasnt actually thinking of paying. for now i was gonna tail some pics that are posted on here for free.

the only sport that i do well in is basketball and college bb season is way to short to make much money. i need to bet on baseball and football to place bets throughout the season. i dont know anything about baseball and very little about football.
i know hockey really well but find it just way too unpredictable of a sport to bet on.

Something that no one has mentioned here: Tailing a service absolves you of responsibility. A lot of people like to have someone to blame when they lose, and if the service is winning then it truly feels like free money with no work.

you may be right that this would be so for many people but to me it doesnt matter if i make my own pics and lose or choose a respectable service and lose with their pics. when you lose, you lose. same things
