How can we make Players Talk better????

You really wanna make Players talk better, Nina, Robyn, Teela have to post nudes web-cams twice a month.

Seeing how Nina already agrees with me I will have to make more suggestions now.

Here is an example of how to limit the threads by certain notoriously attention whoring posters:

"My daily routine for 12/15/09"

instead of:

"My spreadsheet for the day"
"My 10 point teaser for the day"
"Going to the country to pick up fresh milk today"
"Meeting a bookie behind an alley today"
"Sharps are better than squares"
"Scalping is better than handicapping"
"Nickay! Is it snowing in Canada today?"
"I look younger with a rug"
"Pay attention to onthewhat's Kentucky picks"
"I haven't been laid for 15 years"

This is why a daily limit is required. Merging your daily life in as few as possible threads. PT is not like facebook!

I don't know shit from shiona when it comes to what will make a forum become over run or crash ETC.
so now that the monkey is off my back my opinion cannot be expressed to full potential until I completely or somewhat understand the technical side of the situation . Until then I think I will just keep my mouth shut because how can I give a good opinion when I'm to the engine.
Anybody care to fill me in on what that might be?

If a thread is started by ZBoiz, JJ, MILFdriller, NIcky, Pavy, and other obnoxious posters, flag the thread and slowly leak it in on page 5 of players talk. Those who want to see their bs can go straight to page 5. Basically, make 1 page 5. Problem solved.

1. Let forum members "flag" threads that are either in the wrong forum or just don't belong on SBR. For example, if a thread gets 5 votes that it belongs in "politics & economics", it is moved there AUTOMATICALLY WITHOUT MODERATOR INTERVENTION.

2. Let forum members rate threads on a scale of 1 to 10. Threads with a higher rating would be weighted as more recent even if they're older, so a highly rated thread would stay on page one longer. Again, this would happen AUTOMATICALLY WITHOUT MODERATOR INTERVENTION

3. Limit each forum member to one thread per day per forum. Again, NO MODERATOR INTERVENTION REQUIRED.

These steps would free up moderators for the really serious stuff, such as pornography and blatant sales pitches. I've seen threads that were in the wrong forum but didn't want to waste the moderators time with it.

Wow! How the heck does one think of all these ideas?? Very impressed by the feedback from dozen plus powerful posts. I think SBR mgmt does not want to change things because they dont want to make a mistake. This thread will prove to be extremely helpful.

most of the threads that hell's kitchen is talking about and bumped by saying "move to blah blah forum ala sbrjohn's posts" were threads that originated in other sub-fourums and were apparently s-linked to the player's talk forum because they seemed "interesting"

so apparently threads that are actually deemed to be "interesting" by some mod or mods out there in the subforums are being linked to players talk, because that is where EVERYONE IS.
